Positional Plagiocephaly refers to a deformation of the head in infants that lay their head in the same position each time they sleep. Because uneven pressure occurs on still-developing skull bones, baby’s head can become permanently asymmetrical. This can occur in the first two to twenty weeks after birth, and can require expensive treatment that is often uncovered by insurance.

First of all, it's not just a positioner. The Symmetry Sleep System™ positions your child on their back in such a way that their head rests gently to the side. The simple sleep indicator then reminds you to alternate the position of your child each time you lay them down to maintain equal pressure on the developing skull. Also included is a specially designed caliper to monitor the symmetry of your child's head.
2) "My baby doesn't have plagiocephaly, so I don't need this, right?"
